A bit of History

The origins of Big Band Spectrum take us back many years. Back in 1976, a few young musicians from the fanfare of Huncherange-Noertzange bring to life a Big Band under the name of Dixie-Sound.

To reflect the full spectrum of the wide range of music played by the band, the name is changed to Big Band Spectrum in 1981.

Some highlights since then
1980 – Hei Elei, Kuck Elei on RTL Television
2005 – Chicago Area Tour
2007 – Recording our 1st CD “A (not so) Silent Night
2022 – 40th Anniversary Concert
