Big Band Spectrum seeks for the Big Band Sound of the 21st century.
Bringinging you a Big Band Experience like none heard before.
Popular Rock/Pop songs spiced up with jazz elements, big-band standards revisited and all without ever neglecting the past masters.
Spectrum brings you the songs you want to hear in a way you couldn’t imagine them before.
A Queen song with salsa-spices, a Robbie Williams hit bossa-nova style or whatever is needed to entertain you.
Here are some of our influences.
Count Basie, Electro Deluxe, Duke Ellington, Big Phat Band, Snarky Puppy, Robbie Williams, Queen, Jamiroquai, Sammy Nestico, AC/DC, Roger Cicero …
The origins of Big Band Spectrum take us back many years. Back in 1976, a few young musicians from the fanfare of Huncherange-Noertzange bring to life a Big Band under the name of Dixie-Sound.
To reflect the full spectrum of the wide range of music played by the band, the name is changed to Big Band Spectrum in 1981.
